As a tax and spend liberal, this senator does not know the meaning of cutting unneeded or wasteful programs, especially the "feel good" programs for those who feel the world owes them a living. Expansive and intrusive laws passed by Congress have done more to destroy jobs over the past 30 years than anything Wall Street has done in the last 2 years. Senators won't promise cutting the budget as long as they insist on paying back campaign contributors with earmarks and pork barrel projects, all of which waste taxpayer money and add to a 12 trillion dollar national debt. Congress's irresponsible spending over the past 3 decades is driving this country to financial ruin. We are now seeing the folly of not having term limits for Congress. We should not be shocked at what we are now facing-- what do you expect when you keep electing the same type of self serving people year after year. You reap what you sow.
